Product Highlights

⚓ Authentic Navy Strength – 57% ABV

🥃 50cl Bottle | Small-batch distilled by Rob, Master Distiller

🌿 Classic botanical recipe with Cornish character

🔥 Big, robust flavour – designed for cocktails that demand impact

📜 Inspired by naval tradition where gin and gunpowder went hand in hand

Copperfish Looe Gin – Navy Strength is our most powerful expression, handcrafted grain-to-glass by master distiller Rob in our 500L copper still on the harbour in Looe.

Based on our Original Dry, it uses the same carefully selected botanicals — juniper, citrus peel, coriander seed, cinnamon bark, angelica root and orris root — but bottled at a commanding 57% ABV. The result is a gin that’s intense, complex, and unapologetically bold, with lifted spice and citrus balanced against a clean, dry finish.

Why “Navy Strength”? Tradition dates back to the days of wooden ships and cannon fire, when sailors discovered that at 57% or above, spilled spirits would still allow gunpowder to ignite. A practical necessity turned into a naval standard — and today, it remains the benchmark for serious gin lovers.

This is a gin that doesn’t whisper — it roars.

Serving Suggestion

Best enjoyed with a splash of Fever-Tree Indian Tonic and a wedge of pink grapefruit for a sharp citrus lift. Or, for those who dare, stir into a classic Navy Martini for a cocktail with true naval backbone.
