Born on the Harbour in Looe

Copperfish Distillery was founded on the waterfront in Looe, Cornwall, where the sea, the land, and the spirit of craft come together. What began as a passion for distilling has grown into a distillery and bar that celebrates Cornwall’s character with every bottle we make.

Grain to Glass, Done Properly

Unlike many brands, we create our spirits entirely in-house — from fermenting and distilling to ageing and bottling. Using Cornish ingredients wherever possible, our spirits are crafted in small batches in our bespoke copper still. Every cut is made by hand, every recipe refined with care.

Meet Rob, Our Master Distiller

At the heart of Copperfish is Rob, our master distiller. With years of experience and a perfectionist’s touch, he crafts spirits that are both authentic and innovative — from our classic Original Dry Gin to bold releases like Navy Strength, Gold Rum, and Kerbon®, our Cornish Bourbon-style spirit.

Spirits with a Sense of Place

Each bottle tells a story of Cornwall — whether it’s sloes foraged from local hedgerows, molasses distilled and oak-aged into a rich Cornish rum, or botanicals inspired by the coast and countryside. We believe in small-batch craft, in doing things properly, and in celebrating where we come from.

Our Commitment

Copperfish is about more than spirits. It’s about community, sustainability, and pride in what we produce. We’re honoured to have received awards including Taste of the West and Great Taste, but what matters most is the people who share our spirits, whether here in Looe or further afield.
