A genuine Cornish rum made from scratch: fermented, distilled, oak cask aged and bottled here in Looe at the Copperfish Distillery.
They say good things come to those who wait. Well we’ve certainly been waiting for this beauty.
This fine rum has been made from scratch here in Looe. First the organic sustainably sourced sugar cane and molasses are cooked and then fermented for between 2 and 4 weeks. The rich, sweet earthy liquid is then distilled in our bespoke pot still.
Our bespoke still allows us to keep great flavour yet achieve high alcohol purity and includes an infusion basket. For this limited edition, we have been daring and added organic raw cacao nibs and orange peel into the infusion basket as part of the distillation process.
This fine spirit is then short aged in oak casks to develop the flavour. After this we add further chocolate and orange to infuse. The end result is a beautifully smooth chocolatey, orangey rum packaged in a fine bottle with our striking new labels. Have you checked the map out on the back label? Serve in a our trademark distillery branded Copperfish Rum Beaker, neat, with ice or with cola and a slice of lime. Alternatively pimp up your coffee with a shot, if you dare!
